Challenge:
NET-A-PORTER had grown by bringing in fresh, dynamic individuals and promoting them as the business grew. This meant that management style was both inconsistent and, on occasions, less than ideal.

Chairman, Natalie Massenet and her leadership team knew that they could only continue their pace of growth with a strong, confident and competent team of managers across the business. They needed to transform their managers from technical experts focused on their speciality, to capable and caring people managers, willing and able to invest in their teams.

Solution:
The Mind Gym team designed and delivered a series of two-day programs for all middle and senior managers. These covered everything from handling difficult team situations to setting goals and driving performance. A diagnostic upfront enabled every manager to experience their own unique development journey.

Results:
The program had a significant impact on participant’s performance at work, where:

  • 93% believed the Summit was a worthwhile investment in their career development
  • 94% believed the Summit improved their performance at work
  • 84% believed they would be able to apply the knowledge and skills learnt at the Summit to their jobs

The following year, NET-A-PORTER was the highest new entry in The Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies To Work For’ list.
