Why DE&I is at the heart of our digital journey | MindGym

Written by MindGym | Oct 29, 2021

There are exciting things happening at MindGym in the days and weeks ahead. We’re preparing to reveal updates to our existing digital products and launch innovative new digital services – all designed to help our customers harness the power of technology to achieve lasting behavioural change.

Our talented team of designers, developers and tech experts is focused on making technology which delivers measurable impact: changing how people think, feel and behave at work. And at the heart of this is a commitment to embedding ethical design principles in everything we do.

Indeed, while much of the media narrative of late has rightly focused on the misuse and damaging impact of big tech, we believe that by building a culture of ‘tech for good’ we can restore trust in digital technology and demonstrate the potential of tech solutions to help companies develop their purpose and drive change. Importantly, we know that tech has an important role to play in overcoming bias and improving diversity, equity, and inclusion within organisations.

This means that we develop, use and manage technology with:

  • Purpose
  • Relevance
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Openness

And importantly, we design tech which provides Comprehensive Choice and Control to users.

Over the coming days and weeks, we’ll share more about our new digital products and services, and how we’re approaching ethical tech development and design.

First up is a session from our Chief Digital Officer, Elaine Safier, at the Women of Silicon Roundabout event on the 2nd of November in London. Here, Elaine will join more than 100 influential women in tech to talk about the potential of behavioural nudging and data/AI to drive diversity, equality and inclusion.

Look out for more on the topic in the coming days on our resources page and follow us on LinkedIn to stay connected.
