Confronting DEIs decline, the fallout, and what comes next

"Abolish DEI" – a rallying cry that's gaining momentum amid rising concerns that diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts are deepening division and costing businesses $19 billion a year without showing significant results.

Following last summer's Supreme Court ruling against affirmative action, there has been a wave of legal actions and statewide DEI bans in the US. Prominent business leaders from both sides of the Atlantic have also criticised DEI as undermining fairness, meritocracy, and excellence. As economic pressures mount, global companies are scaling back on DEI by cutting diversity leaders, teams, and targets, shifting their focus to ROI instead.

Despite this, research shows DEI is still vital for business success: inclusive teams are proven to be six times more likely to innovate and eight times more likely to outperform their peers.

The question now is: How can we preserve the core values of DEI while ensuring they serve our business objectives effectively?

MindGym’s Octavius Black CBE and Janet Ahn, PhD are hosting a webinar to address these challenges and present actionable, sustainable DEI strategies that drive innovation, retention, and performance.

This webinar will equip you to champion DEI's value to your board, securing the support it needs and ensuring it doesn’t become obsolete.

In this webinar, you’ll discover:

  • The underlying reasons for DEI's decline from the corporate agenda and why many leaders are quietly happy with this shift.
  • The significant risks of overlooking DEI and its potential impact on the future of businesses.
  • How to move from focusing on quotas and representation targets to measuring factors that truly foster empathy and collaboration.
  • Strategies for countering the misuse of ‘psychological safety’ and ‘bringing your whole self to work.’
  • A bold, five-step plan to ensure DEI benefits everyone and becomes integral to your business.
